A downloadable game

Hi, this is a Little demo for a game I'm working on. It's a A Topdown Platformer with bullet hell and rouge-lite elements. where you play as a bounty hunter collecting bounties. Any and all feedback is appreciated since I'm trying to make this game the best game it can be. And if you are interested in the development process, you can check out my devlogs right here: MactusCactus - YouTube

Tried out the game, actually a lot more fun than I expected!

I know the game is only in Demo right now so I'm not going to nitpick about things like music and stuff like that, but I do have a little bit of feedback that I'd like to add.

Before I do that I just wanna say how good this game is even in the demo. I love the art design and think it's perfect for a game like this. I love how the main character looks as opposed to the enemies and the combat system is very satisfying.

That being said, I'm not sure if I'm just bad or if this is also for other players, but I find killing base enemies on each floor a bit too hard. Small enemies that you'd expect to kill in a few hits take a lot more damage than I thought previously. It's not a huge deal but I wish there was a way we could check stats of ourselves, our weapons, and enemies as well!

Also, sometimes I don't notice when I take damage because I'm focused on something else, so maybe a sound or something to give me a heads up would be nice like a red tint around the screen or character when I only have a few hearts left, and I'm not sure if it's already a thing but maybe enemies could drop hearts time to time?

Other than that, this game is great and doesn't really have flaws! Extremely impressed by a demo version of a game which is in a genre that I personally haven't played much of before, and can't wait to see more of this in the future. I hope you have great success with this game and I can't wait to play the full version!

thank you so much for playing :), enemy balancing was a difficult part of making this game and im probably never going to make it just right. but im going to keep trying. You are right about the music, i keep trying to make tracks but im no good at it. ill probably try to find someone who is better at that than i am

No problem! I stumbled across your youtube channel about a month ago and found the Itch page for it only a few days ago. I think SpellHunt is honestly a great name and fits well with your game. I'm no coder but I can't imagine how hard it must be to balance enemies, but I feel like a stat-checking system like I mentioned in my previous comment would help the player know what they're up against. Music is also not an easy task so I think you shouldn't worry about it until a later update, but not too far into the future (Probably a major update would work best)

instructions unclear, my pc exploded

i think its too good

jokes aside, i didnt think this game would be fun, until i tried it. it was a great game (i didnt finish it) with a few visual bugs that did not bother me in the slightest (some music would be nice)

to find bugs that you do not know exist, play the game yourself from start to finish

that's all from me.

i just spellhunted everywhere
